Huntington Disease Awareness Month

The City of Mount Pearl has proclaimed the month of May as Huntington Disease Awareness Month. Huntington Disease is a hereditary, neurodegenerative illness with physical, cognitive, and emotional symptoms. There is as yet no cure. A number of representatives from the Newfoundland and Labrador chapter of the Huntington Disease Society of Canada were in attendance for the signing of the proclamation last week at City Hall.
