Ethan Jones of the Mount Pearl Senior High Huskies powers past an Exploits Valley High Eagles defender during semifinal action April 19 at the 2026 Royal Newfoundland Regiment Memorial High School Hockey Tournament at the Paradise Double Ice Complex. Jones was thwarted on this scoring chance but did score a late goal on a penalty shot in a 3-2 loss. Mount Pearl would earn a bronze medal later that day with a 7-3 win over Gonzaga, while Exploits Valley would settle for silver after a 5-4 loss to the Gander Collegiate Concordes in the gold medal game. The Glovertown Eagles earned gold on the girls side of competition, beating the Gonzaga Vikings 3-2, while Gander Collegiate earned a bronze with a 4-1 win over the Mobile Monarchs.
