Big cannabis plant proposed for Donovans

The public has until January 24 to comment on an application to develop a cannabis growth and production plant in the Donovans Industrial Park.

Atlantic Cultivation Ltd. has registered an application with the provincial Environment Department to develop and operate a 10,200 square metre licensed cannabis production facility at 138 Clyde Avenue, Mount Pearl.

The project will include construction of a two-storey steel structure to house the cultivation of cannabis plants. The building includes 31 grow rooms as well as processing rooms and office space.

The undertaking was registered on December 19, 2018. The deadline for public comments is January 24 with the minister’s decision due by February 2.
